Description

St Mary's Calne Sports Club believes in sporting excellence in all genres of sport. Generic Responsibilities:

-To supervise the use of the Fitness Suite, ensuring that all members and pupils comply with the present rules.

-To assist with the maintenance and cleanliness of the Fitness Suite in conjunction with the Duty Manager of Fitness & Development.

-To be familiar with XN Booking Systems.

-To ensure visits to the club by members and pupils are enjoyable and assist with any enquiries or problems.

-Act in accordance with existing checklists, cleaning duties and Health and Safety procedures relevant to particular shift patterns.

-To provide first aid when necessary, ensuring accident reports are completed following the correct procedures.

-To be familiar with all emergency procedures and ensure that members and pupils are never exposed to unnecessary risks.

-To wear correct uniform and use PPE (personal protective equipment) where required.

-To perform any other duties that may be considered necessary by the Club Manager/Duty Manager (Fitness & Development)

Specific Responsibilities:

-Work towards delivering fitness inductions and adhere to the retention and attrition systems i.e. customer journey and interaction with high-risk members etc.

-Work towards overseeing member appointments, allocating inductions, blast sessions, programmes and fitness reviews accordingly.

-Assist with the relevant Fitness Suite Procedures i.e. Fitness Facilities NOP, Retention, Fitness Classes and Fitness Assessments.

-Assist with the relevant Fitness Suite Risk Assessments in conjunction with the Duty Manager of Fitness & Development.

-Assist with the daily management of the entertainment systems within the Fitness Suite.

-Assist with the management of client data/protection i.e. pre-activity readiness screening and questionnaires and health commitment statements.

-Assist with the effective use of the Sports Club's retention package.

-Keep up to date with the Register of Exercise Professionals/CIMSPA CPD and UK active policies and procedures.

What your apprenticeship includes:

- A mixture of face to face and online catch ups every 4 - 6 weeks to discuss feedback and progress

- A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars

- Reviews every 12 weeks with your Line Manager and apprenticeship Trainer

- The chance to get Functional Skills in English and maths (if you don't already have GCSE)

These responsibilities are not exhaustive and may include any other reasonable duties as required by the Sports Club Manager, Bursar, Headmistress of St Mary's Calne or Headmaster of St Margaret's Preparatory School.

With St Mary's Calne Sports Club you will be studying towards your Personnel Trainer (Enhanced) Level 3 Standard over the course of 15 months.
