Description

The Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated apprentice who is interested in working in Financial Services and wishes to pursue a career in Brand and Marketing.

The role of the Brand Apprentice involves developing and implementing brand and marketing strategies to promote products and/or services. This includes creating online and offline content, videos and social media, supporting the running of brand advertising campaigns, analysing results, and optimising strategies to reach target audiences.

The Brand Apprentice will also support on brand operations working with our key creative and media planning agencies and working on processes and projects to support effective brand operations.

Sat within the Asset Management side of the business and working on brands including M&G Investments, M&G Real Estate and Infracapital, this role will be perfect for someone who is interested in learning the basics of brand marketing within a fast-paced Brand and Digital Marketing Team.

The successful applicant will be exposed to various brand projects and will work closely with other teams within the business, helping our function to deliver against our brand, marketing and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

  • Develop and execute brand marketing campaigns across various channels, including email, social media, SEO and display advertising.
  • Manage and optimise brand advertising campaigns to maximise ROI and achieve KPIs.
  • Manage the sign off and maintenance of brand assets via Aprimo, M&G’s digital asset management platform.
  • Support with the analysis of brand campaign performance using Google Analytics, social media analytics tools, and other relevant platforms.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends in brand, marketing and partnership activity.
  • Collaborate with the Content Team to create engaging and compelling content for brand.
  • Prepare regular reports on brand marketing performance and insights to present findings to management.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest brand marketing trends and best practices.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure seamless execution of brand projects and processes.

  • Ability to build good relationships internally and externally.

  • Ability to learn MS Office skills and planning tools, particularly Outlook, MS Excel and Aprimo.
  • Good organisation and prioritisation skills, with a keen attention to detail.


  • Three A-levels (grade A-C) or equivalent AND GCSE English and Mathematics (grade 4 - 9)

As a Digital Marketing Apprentice with M&G, you will undertake the Level 3 Multi Channel Marketing Executive Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses

This is a fixed term contract for 15 months upon which the business may decide to retain, subject to the Apprentice performance, headcount, and available funding. If recruited into a permanent role, the individual will follow the career progression applicable to the specific role/department.

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities for career progression within our Digital Marketing team or other relevant departments based on performance, business needs, and available opportunities. If recruited into a permanent role, the individual will follow the career progression applicable to the specific role/department.
