What does the Business Analysis do at M&G?
The Business Analysis Team reports to the Chief Transformation Officer and is responsible for defining solutions to the problems / opportunities that M&G identifies it wants to tackle through the Investment Runway.
The team is responsible for all Analysis and Design activity and deliverables which maybe performed in-house or by strategic partners on an oversight and assurance basis
What will you be doing?
As a Delivery Business Analyst you will be responsible for the following:
- Define and agree the approach you will take to any given project
- Working with business stakeholders to identify their requirements. Capture and assess those requirements using tools and techniques that conform to pre-defined standards
- Work with cross-functional teams to define viable options to meet the requirements
- Based on preferred options, work with business and technical teams to define the solution (People, process, technology, data, impacts etc) to meet project objectives
- Produce detailed deliverables appropriate to the project – requirements, process, user stories, journey, experience
- Maintain and report traceability and design risk logs
- Attending meetings and supporting implementation of projects
- Support resolution defects / assessment of Change Requests

- To be competent with computers and technically minded with the ability to learn software skills such as MS Excel, Power BI, JIRA and Visio.
- Ability to build good relationships internally and externally
- Confident and effective communicator (both written and verbal)
- Passionate about being in a work environment that embraces and values diversity.
- Attention to detail to support high-quality compilation of user documentation.
- Proven and demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good organisational and prioritisation skills with a keen attention to detail.
A minimum of five GCSEs grade A – C (9 – 4 on the new grading system), and A Level 3 qualification achieved by one of the following: A levels, NVQ/SVQ Level 3, or a BTEC National
As a Delivery Business Analyst Apprentice Apprentice with M&G, you will undertake the Level 4 Business Analyst Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses
