Description

A busy riding school and livery yard looking to take on 2 apprentices, either riding grooms or non-riding grooms. They are also looking for candidates who may be open to the idea of becoming an instructor to do some teaching and training. They are an ABRS approved yard, and very busy, with a variety of opportunities for an apprentice to get involved in.

The employer has competition horses, and also compete, so need an apprentice who is enthusiastic, willing to learn and looking for a long term career in the equine sector.

You must have some basic equine skills to be successful in this application.
You must not already hold a qualification in Equine Studies at Level 2 or above, as this will make you ineligible for the apprenticeship. If you do not already have qualifications in maths and/ or English, Haddon Training will support you in gaining Functional Skills qualifications at level 1 or 2.
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
Bartlow Equestrian are looking for candidates who have some basic equine skills, enthusiastic, hard working and a genuine love of horses.
A long term role on the yard, with progression to the level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship. As they are an ABRS approved centre, there will also be the opportunity to do the ABRS exams.

There is no accommodation available on site, so you must be able to make your own way to and from the yard each day.

If you have your own horses, there is the possibility of having them on site on livery.

The working week will be 4 week days plus 1 weekend day.

Stephanie Holker is the chief instructor at Red Earth Equestrian Centre. She gained all her teaching and horse care qualifications at the Yorkshire riding centre in Harrogate under Christopher bartle and Jane bartle-Wilson. Stephanie has been successfully teaching since the riding school opened in 2006. Stephanie and her father Clive began the business with a small client base but this soon grew and she now has over 100 clients on the school horses and also with people bringing their own horses up to the centre.The working hours for this role will be between 30-40 hours per week with one weekend day.
