Skills Required
You must have some basic equine skills to be successful in this application.
Qualifications Required
You must not already hold a qualification in Equine Studies at Level 2 or above, as this will make you ineligible for the apprenticeship. If you do not already have qualifications in maths and/ or English, Haddon Training will support you in gaining Functional Skills qualifications at level 1 or 2.
Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
Personal Qualities
Bartlow Equestrian are looking for candidates who have some basic equine skills, enthusiastic, hard working and a genuine love of horses.
Prospects
A long term role on the yard, with progression to the level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship. As they are an ABRS approved centre, there will also be the opportunity to do the ABRS exams.
Other Information
There is no accommodation available on site, so you must be able to make your own way to and from the yard each day.
If you have your own horses, there is the possibility of having them on site on livery.
The working week will be 4 week days plus 1 weekend day.
