The Royal Dart Yacht Club is a private members club and the Bar Supervisor is often one of the first points of contact for members when they visit the club. The Bar Supervisor is responsible for the following:
1. Working as Front of House (FOH) in the bar and dining areas to meet the needs of the club’s members.
2. Being professionally attired to suit the occasion, either casual or formal, with appropriate club uniform.
3. Assisting with the monitoring stock levels of wine, beer, spirits and dry snacks to meet day to day needs and liaising with Bar Manager to ensure replacement stock is ordered in a timely manner. In the absence of the Bar Manager stock can be ordered under the guidance of the Chef/Manager or Rear Commodore Hospitality.
4. Listen to members comments on bar and catering concerns/compliments and report back to the Bar Manager accordingly.
5. To work with the Bar Manager and Chef/Manager to ensure social committee and Special Interest Group (SIG) functions are correctly supported.
6. To use the EPOS system.
7. To attend weekly staff meetings.
8. To assist the bar manager with stock takes on a monthly basis.
9. To help keep the bar area tidy and in good repair, hoovered/swept as required liaising with contract cleaners and report areas for maintenance to the Bar Manager.
10. To assist the Bar Manager on line cleans on a weekly basis or as required to maintain appropriate hygiene standards.
11. To work with the Bar Manager, Chef/Manager and Rear Commodore Hospitality in ways to improve the club’s offering to its members.
12. The position requires a flexible approach to shift patterns and working hours as set out in the contract of employment for the Bar Supervisor.
13. Be prepared to work in other areas of the club as required to support events and functions.
14. Assist the Bar Manager in the daily cashing up of the tills
15. Any other reasonable tasks asked of by Bar Manager/Chef Manager/Rear commodore hospitality
Tasks and Frequency-
1. Assist with but not responsible for monthly stock checks
2. Assist with but not responsible for weekly line cleans
3. Assist in but not responsible for daily cashing up
Reporting - The Bar Supervisor reports to the Bar Manager/Rear Commodore Hospitality. In the absence of the bar manager, the bar supervisor will report to the chef manager and/or rear commodore hospitality.

Excellent customer service for the members instilling this in all staff
Till work including cashing up
Bar control and cellar management
Personal license holder responsibilities
Set up of all events and running the FOH for service and social occasions
Menu writing and back office responsibilities
Working closely with the club manager
Event set up
Supplier liaison
