To be eligible to apply for an apprenticeship, applicants must:
• be 16+ when the apprenticeship starts (24th September 2025) to be able to start on this date
• have left full-time education
• not be in receipt of funding for other learning programmes
• have the right to work in the UK
• have valid and eligible residency status and be resident in the UK for 5 years before the start of their apprenticeship
To be able to qualify for the qualification (Software Engineering Degree Apprenticeship) you will need to meet the minimum entry requirements for the course which are set out below. Within your CV please ensure you include any qualifications you have completed or are currently studying towards.
Minimum entry requirements:
• A Levels: ABB-BBC. If not studying A Level Maths or Physics, applicants must have GCSE Grade B (6) in Maths
• BTEC students: DDD in IT or Computing and Grade B (6) GCSE Maths is required
• Access (Computing): Pass with Distinction overall to include 24 Distinctions (3 of which must be Maths) and 15 Merits at Level 3
• We also require GCSE English Grade 4/C
In order to be eligible for our apprenticeship vacancy you must be able to qualify for the apprenticeship funding, any qualifications previously held or currently being worked towards must differ in content so that this apprenticeship provides substantial new skills. If you therefore currently hold or are working towards a similar qualification (Software Engineering Degree Apprenticeship) then we encourage you to speak with us, so that we can assess suitability.
If successful at sift, your application will be shared with the University so they can undertake a check as to your eligibility. Please note, if you are not subsequently eligible to undertake the apprenticeship, your application will not be considered; any offer of employment will be withdrawn, and your contract will be terminated.
