Description

Easton Farm is a busy, friendly yard with lots of opportunities to learn and develop.

They are looking for someone who would like to learn, is reliable, has lots of energy and who is trustworthy - Attitude is very important!

Prior experience with horses and caring for them is essential.

Duties will include:

•Mucking out

•Turning out/bringing in

•Tack cleaning

•Tacking up

•Feeding

•Filling hay nets

•Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming if possible

•Bathing

•Rug changing

•Riding

•First aid

•Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, long reining, pessoa training etc.)

•Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

  • Possibility of grooming at shows

Previous horse care experience is essential to this role.
Ability to complete Functional Skills if you do not have GCSE passes in English and Maths.
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
Trustworthy, friendly, keen to learn, honest and hard working
Upon completion, there may be the possibility to progress onto the Level 3 Senior Groom Apprenticeship and/or gain permeant employment.

There is the possibility of livery dependent upon space.

All applicants must be able to commute daily as accommodation is not available and the location is very rural and not accessible by public transport.
