Overview:We are expanding our team to include a Digital Marketing Apprentice who will play a key role in promoting our diverse business activities across various platforms.

We are looking for a motivated and creative Digital Marketing Apprentice to support marketing activities across the Patersons group. You will assist in the creation and execution of digital marketing campaigns, manage content on social media, assist with website updates and SEO, and collaborate across departments to ensure cohesive branding. 

This is a full-time, entry-level apprenticeship role offering hands-on experience and professional training through QA Ltd.

Duties: 

  • Assist in the creation and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media and SEO.
  • Manage and schedule content across various social media channels to increase engagement and brand awareness.
  • Support content creation, including writing blogs, website copy and social media posts.
  • Assist in website updates and optimisation to enhance user experience and improve search rankings.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and opportunities for brand growth.
  • Monitor and report on digital marketing performance using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and CRM systems.
  • Help design and edit marketing materials using graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Collaborate with different departments across the group to ensure cohesive branding and messaging.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to contribute fresh ideas to the marketing strategy.

Desirable skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
  • Understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles (desirable but not essential)
  • Basic graphic design or video editing skills (desirable but not essential)
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Personal qualities: 

  • Passionate about digital marketing, eager to learn and develop new skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated

Salary: £16,000 per annum.

Working week: 35hrs a week. 

Future prospects:Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be opportunities for career progression within Patersons Quarries, with potential to expand into more advanced digital marketing roles or work with different brands across the group.
