Opportunity Details
We are looking for a groom who will be completing all associated jobs involved in the care and welfare of horses. This is a competition yard with high level horses, to include all general yard duties :
- Mucking out/ keeping yard tidy
- Turning in and out
- Filling haynets/ water buckets
- Making feeds
- Grooming / picking out feet
- Tacking up / untacking
- Travelling to shows as a competition groom possible for right candidate
- Riding available for the right candidate

Skills Required
- Equine experience in handling and caring for horses is essential however, full training will be given.
- Excellent team work and able to work harmoniously with others.
- Good communication skills to be able to work with others and take instruction and guidance.
- Well organised with attention to detail.
- Use of initiative to complete tasks in a timely manner
Qualifications Required
GCSE Level 4/ Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.

Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

Other Information
No livery for own horse or own pets allowed.
Exact hours to be discussed with employer, but will be over 4.5 days and will include weekend work.
This is a non ridden pathway, although light riding is available for the right candidate.
