PositionBusiness Administration Apprentice
Location: Gateshead (NE10) – occasional hybrid working available Hours: Full-time (approx. 37.5 hrs/week) Duration: 18–24 months (aligned with Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard)
Key Responsibilities-
Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, handling emails, and managing incoming/outgoing correspondence.

Support scheduling and bookings using internal systems.

Maintain and update databases, records, and documentation.
-
Assist in formatting and producing documents using desktop publishing software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, MS Publisher).

Handle basic finance/admin tasks such as invoice tracking or client documentation.

Support compliance and document management in line with ISO and information governance standards.

Help with internal communications and social media as needed.
Essential:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Good working knowledge of DTP (Desktop Publishing) tools such as Adobe InDesign or MS Publisher.

Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Respect for confidentiality and data protection standards.
Desirable:

Previous admin experience (school/work placement).

Understanding of interpreting or translation services.

Experience with CRM or scheduling systems.

Structured Business Administration Apprenticeship (Level 2 or 3) through a registered training provider.

Practical, hands-on training across admin, IT, and customer service functions.

Development in data security, document formatting, and quality procedures.
