Opportunity Details
You will be required to muck out, turn out and care for a variety of livery horses. You will learn skills like;
- clipping
- loading
- trimming
- bathing.
You will improve your customer service skills dealing with clients over at the riding school and supporting show days. We also have breeding stock on site.

Skills Required
You must be able to do basic horse handling as a minimum to be considered for this role.
Qualifications Required
No previous qualification required.
Having a Grade 4/ C or above in GCSE maths and English is desirable but not essential.
If you have not achieved these grades, you must be willing to work towards gaining your functional skills qualifications in maths and/ or English and Haddon Trainign will support you in doing this.
Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach. There will also be opportunities to ride and learn full horse care.
Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone who is friendly, and willing to work in all weathers!
Prospects
For the right candidate there may be an opportunity to progress to full time employment.
Other Information
This yard requires applicants who have a good level of equine knowledge. A level 2 Equine qualification (or comparable experience) will be advantageous when applying for this role. There is no accommodation available on site, so please ensure you can make your own way reliably to the location each day. There may be the possibility for you to bring your own horse to the yard dependent on availability.

Park Farm is a small, smartly run riding school for children aged 4-17 years. Monique and Anne are looking for a new equine apprentice to start on 16 hours per week , with room to increase these hours. This will include 1 weekend day and is a 8am start. Wage is dependent on age and is to be discussed with the employer, all applicants must be keen to do their BHS teaching Quals alongside their apprenticeship and be happy to work with children.
