Opportunity Details
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and energetic individual who loves messy play, singing songs and getting involved with children can work well in a team. Enjoy working with children and parents.
The working hours are 30 hours per week Monday to Friday 7.30am-9.30am, 2pm-6pm term time however, in the school holidays this is spread out (Mon-Fri) to cover full day sessions (7.30am-6pm), there are also the potential for extra hours during the holidays. The children are aged 4-11years old.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- To ensure the children are cared for in a happy, secure, and stimulating environment.
- To have knowledge, understanding and confidence in keeping children safe and implement our safeguarding procedures appropriately.
- Carry out a key person role building effective relationships with the parents and children and meeting their children’s individual care and learning needs.
- Supervise, observe, encourage, and support the children in meeting their personal targets, through their interests ensuring they progress and develop leading them onto the path of school readiness.
- To plan, prepare and deliver the curriculum with the team to consistently meet the requirements of the EYFS.
- To establish a trusting relationship with parents through working in partnership with them, giving daily informative feedback to meet their child’s needs.
- Adhere to all the policies and procedures set out by the business.
- It is important to be able to work well in a team and use your own initiative. You will work closely with children and their families.
- Domestic cleaning duties.
As an apprentice you’ll:
Have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace.
Learn and train for a specific job
Get paid and receive holiday leave
Get hands-on experience in a real job
Study for at least 20% of your working hours
Complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
