Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship

Communication Skills - Ability to engage with children and young people in a positive and supportive manner. Teamwork - Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers, and community members. Creativity & Problem-Solving - Ability to plan and deliver fun, engaging, and innovative activities. Adaptability & Resilience - Capable of responding to different situations and working in a fast-paced environment. ✔ Organizational Skills - Ability to assist with event planning and manage resources effectively. Empathy & Inclusivity - Understanding the needs and challenges of diverse groups of young people. Basic Safeguarding Awareness - Understanding the importance of child protection and well-being.

No formal qualifications required, but an interest in youth work, childcare, education, or community work is beneficial. Any volunteering or experience working with children or young people is a plus. Ability to complete paperwork within sessions, which are registers, daily observation sheets, risk assessments and checklists

This apprenticeship provides valuable hands-on experience in youth work and playwork, opening doors to: Full-time roles in youth work, education, childcare, or community services Further study or qualifications in youth work, social work, or teaching Progression within INSPIRE YOUTH to senior roles in program coordination or management This role is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience, develop key skills, and make a meaningful impact on young people's lives.

Outdoor Working - Some Sessions take place outdoors in all weather conditions, so you must be prepared to work in rain, wind, and sunshine. Travel Required - You will need to travel between venues across the city, sometimes carrying equipment. Physical Activity - This is an active role that involves setting up activities, supervising games, and engaging with children and young people on their level. Flexible Hours - Some evening, weekend, and school holiday work is required to meet the needs of young people.
