Opportunity Details
At Lloyds Banking Group, people are at the heart of everything. And in HR, it’s the People & Places team that ensures colleagues can do their best work every single day. This team doesn’t just ‘do HR’—they play a critical strategic and operational role in the Group’s success. From shaping workplace culture to developing high-performing teams, they ensure the people strategy supports the Group’s bold ambitions.
In a fast-moving, highly regulated industry, attracting, developing, and retaining top talent is essential to delivering value for customers. That’s where HR Graduates come in.
As part of the scheme, graduates join the team that manages and influences the entire employee lifecycle—aligning workforce capabilities with business goals while fostering a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing culture. They get involved in culture-shaping projects, transformation programmes, and people strategies that make a real difference.
Over two years, graduates rotate across different areas of the People & Places function, gaining a 360° view of HR in action. Placements could include:
- Tech & Data in People – where HR meets technology. Graduates analyse workforce data to help leaders make smart, future-focused decisions.
- HR Partnering – working closely with business leaders to shape people plans that drive results.
- Colleague Experience & Design – redesigning the colleague journey to make it smooth, supportive, and inspiring.
- Reward – helping decide how the Group celebrates and thanks its people for the big (and small) wins.
- Product Implementation & Change – supporting business evolution and making change stick.
Each rotation is a CV-booster, a skills-builder, and a chance to make a meaningful impact.
Graduates work on projects that:
- Reimagine recognition and reward
- Drive culture change
- Use data to inform leadership decisions
- Design propositions that attract and retain top talent
- Ensure every colleague feels valued, included, and able to thrive
They’re trusted to contribute from day one—and supported every step of the way to make a real difference.
