Opportunity Details
From the first set of car keys to the last day at work (and all the fun in between), Lloyds Banking Group is there for the big money moments. From protecting a family’s future to simplifying workplace pensions, the Insurance, Pensions & Investments (IP&I) team helps customers feel confident, covered, and ready for whatever life throws their way.
And it’s not just about building products that work—it’s about building ones that work for the planet too. With a commitment to cut the carbon emissions they finance by over 50% by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050, the team is focused on wellbeing as much as wealth.
As Future Financial Wellbeing Graduates, individuals join the IP&I team to help people take control of their money, protect what matters, and plan for tomorrow—without losing sleep over it. They’ll tackle big-picture challenges like an ageing population, low money confidence, and the great generational wealth handover.
This scheme is ideal for those who are naturally inquisitive, interested in business, finance and data, and passionate about helping customers build financial resilience. Graduates are expected to challenge the status quo, think critically, stay open-minded, and collaborate across the business—bringing humility, resilience, and a people-first mindset.
Over three eight-month placements, graduates deep-dive into the areas where big ideas meet big impact. They could be:
- In Customer – understanding what makes people tick (and switch), delivering exceptional service, and developing a customer-centric mindset.
- In Platform – where business and technology meet. Graduates learn how multi-skilled teams shape customer journeys, deliver change quickly, and use tech and AI to create brilliant outcomes. Projects like Digital Waterfront put them at the heart of innovation.
- In Strategy – exploring routes to market including IFAs, direct sales, branches, and workplace pensions. Graduates build commercial insight, manage key relationships, and use data to inform strategic decisions that drive growth.
Throughout the programme, graduates help shape the future of financial wellbeing—making a real difference to customers, the business, and the planet.
