Opportunity Details
In Finance at Lloyds Banking Group, graduates do far more than balance the books. They become part strategist, part storyteller, part tech-savvy problem-solver—guiding big decisions, steering smart investments, managing risk, and helping keep the UK’s biggest bank on the front foot.
This isn’t a typical ‘add it up and file it away’ finance role. The financial world is evolving fast—new technologies, emerging competitors, shifting customer needs—and Lloyds Banking Group is right there, shaping what comes next.
Graduates dive into data, track markets, stay ahead of regulation, influence how products are built, and ensure the Group’s financial health not only stays fighting fit, but grows.
On the Finance Graduate Scheme, they won’t be watching from the sidelines with a spreadsheet. They’ll be right in the thick of it—bringing insights that shape resource allocation, risk management, and value delivery for millions of customers and shareholders.
Over three years, graduates rotate through four placements—within Finance and beyond—gaining a panoramic view of how the bank operates and how to keep it running smoothly. Placements include:
- Insight, Data & Analysis – using new technology to forecast future performance
- Core Finance – reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Business Partnering – building strong relationships between Finance and the wider business
- Non-Finance – working with teams such as Audit & Assurance, Risk & Governance, Strategic Business Management, Management Accounting, Finance & Reporting, Taxation, or Treasury
Throughout the programme, graduates gain a 360° view of how Finance powers the bank, contribute to projects with real strategic impact, and play a key role in tech-driven transformation—redefining what a modern finance function can do.
