Skills Required
- Be able to ride ponies and small horses under 15.2hh
- Be willing to do BHS teaching Qualifications alongside apprenticeship
Qualifications Required
You must not already hold a qualification in Equine Studies at Level 2 or above, as this will make you ineligible for the apprenticeship. If you do not already have qualifications in maths and/ or English, Haddon Training will support you in gaining Functional Skills qualifications at level 1 or 2.
Training
- All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

Prospects
- Progression to the Level 3 Senior Groom or possibility of full time employment and further BHS teaching Quals.

There is no accommodation available with this position so please make sure you can get there daily before applying, there is also no availability for your own horse .

Fiona runs a Dressage and competition livery yard NR Ashford, she is looking for a new Equine Groom Apprentice to join her team. The ideal candidate will be 16-18 years old with some basic equine experience, but more importantly a really positive attitude to learning and building a career in horses. Hours can start at 30 and increase, will include 1 weekend day and working hours are 8am - 5pm.
