Skills Required
- Be able to ride ponies and small horses under 15.2hh
- Be willing to do BHS teaching Qualifications alongside apprenticeship
Qualifications Required
You must not already hold a qualification in Equine Studies at Level 2 or above, as this will make you ineligible for the apprenticeship. If you do not already have qualifications in maths and/ or English, Haddon Training will support you in gaining Functional Skills qualifications at level 1 or 2.
Training
- All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

Prospects
- Progression to the Level 3 Senior Groom or possibility of full time employment and further BHS teaching Quals.

There is no accommodation available with this position so please make sure you can get there daily before applying, there is also no availability for your own horse .

The right candidate will have a passion for helping to care for horses and enjoy, working with our young clients (children) who attend our riding centre, they offer a lot of variety at this yard from pony birthday parties to therapy sessions for learners with SEN needs .The ideal candidate will be 16-18 years old , with good common sense around horses and children.

The wonderful team at eventing and breeding yard Team Opposition are now looking for a level 2 equine groom apprentice to join them. The team are based at Landford Stud in Wiltshire and have a large all-weather school and great facilities.This can be a non-ridden position or you can choose to bring your own horse to compete and learn from some incredible eventers!
