Opportunity Details
Classic Dressage are looking for someone who enjoys the handling and grooming side of the job, this role is aimed at those aspiring competition grooms out there, who want the experience of working with and handling a range of top class horses to include youngstock and stallions.
There may be the opportunity to attend national and
international shows for the right individual.
You will be required to complete general duties to include;
•Turning out/bringing in
•Tack cleaning
•Tacking up
•Feeding
•Filling hay nets
•Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
•Mucking Out
•Rug changing
•Schooling
•Riding
•First aid
•Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
•Holding for vet/farrier/dentist
This apprenticeship allows you to learn from top trainers in the industry up to Olympic Level. There is also a shop onsite and the possibility of attending trade fairs.
The apprenticeship is based onsite in a practical setting so not lots of time sitting in the classroom. If you did not achieve your Maths & English GCSE's at school we can support you to gain these whilst on programme.
The interview will consist of a trial day at the yard.

Qualifications Required
A GCSE or equivalent pass in English and maths is beneficial but not essential. If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.
Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

The wonderful team at eventing and breeding yard Team Opposition are now looking for a level 2 equine groom apprentice to join them. The team are based at Landford Stud in Wiltshire and have a large all-weather school and great facilities.This can be a non-ridden position or you can choose to bring your own horse to compete and learn from some incredible eventers!

You are also able to take the horses and compete at shows as if they are your own.There is free accommodation available on-site if needed. This apprenticeship will allow you to work with some amazing horses and learn about all disciplines.

Park Farm Riding School - Equine Groom Apprentice
Park Farm Riding School
Park Farm is a small, smartly run riding school for children aged 4-17 years. Monique and Anne are looking for a new equine apprentice to start on 16 hours per week , with room to increase these hours. This will include 1 weekend day and is a 8am start. Wage is dependent on age and is to be discussed with the employer, all applicants must be keen to do their BHS teaching Quals alongside their apprenticeship and be happy to work with children.
