Opportunity Details

This is an exciting role for a candidate that loves riding and is confident on big fit warmblood type horses.

The location is based on a beautiful yard with an indoor school and horse walker. The property has 20 horses on site from foals to older horses.

You will have the opportunity to break in a variety of young stock and will exercise up to 7 horses a day to keep them fit for the owners. The employer will cover the costs of you having flat and jump lessons weekly. You are able to compete the horses also. The location breeds competition horses on a small scale every year and the family bred the amazing Tamarillo!!

General yard duties will include:-

  • Preparing horses for shows
  • Plaiting
  • Grooming
  • Riding
  • Lunging

A truly great location which will allow you to treat the horses as your own. This apprenticeship is based fulltime on site in a practical setting so not lots of time spent in a classroom. If you did not achieve your Maths & English GCSE's at school we will support you to gain these whilst on program.

The interview will consist of a trial day working on the yard.

To apply for this role you must be a UK resident or have lived in the EU for 3 years. If you already hold a L3 Equine qualification you are unable to apply for this role.
