Opportunity Details
Key Tasks:
· Provide first-line IT support to staff and pupils, resolving common hardware and software issues.
· Assist in the setup, installation, and configuration of computers, printers, projectors, interactive whiteboards, and mobile devices.
· Support with user account creation and management in Active Directory and other systems.
· Help maintain accurate IT inventory records and assist with asset tracking.
· Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external support providers as necessary.
· Participate in regular maintenance tasks, including software updates, antivirus checks, and backup verifications.
· Contribute to network monitoring and security checks under supervision.
· Document solutions and assist in developing user guides and IT support resources.
· Work collaboratively with teaching and administrative staff to ensure smooth delivery of IT services.
· Support classroom technology (e.g. smart boards, visualisers) and assist during school events requiring technical setup.

Skills Required

Qualifications Required
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.
Training
The successful candidate will be enrolled on the Information Communication Technician apprenticeship starting on 10th December 2025.

Prospects
Upon qualification the salary can increase to £23,400 - £26,895
