Opportunity Details
- A 4-week operational placement on London Underground, involving shift work (nights, weekends, bank holidays)
- A 6-month office-based placement
- A 4-week surface operational placement (e.g. Victoria Coach Station, Buses, DLR)
- Subsequent placements are chosen by the participant, subject to business area and availability, allowing flexibility to tailor the scheme to individual interests and ambitions
Examples of business areas for placements include Customer Experience, Security, Policing and Enforcement, Directors’ Office, Innovation, Government Relations, Customer Service Manager at a London Underground station, Technology, Safety, Health and Environment, and Trains Manager at a London Underground station.

Qualifications Required
A minimum of a 2:2 degree in any discipline. Successful candidates must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the scheme. The role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa scheme.
Training
Award-winning teams support ongoing development through on-the-job practical experience and placements. Professional development is supported through training, mentoring, and networking. One-to-one guidance is provided by a Placement Manager, Scheme Sponsor (senior manager), Buddy (apprentice or graduate), and Development Adviser (career coaching and progression).

Prospects
Previous graduates have progressed to roles such as Change Design Manager, Project Sponsor, Trains Manager, Senior Adviser to a TfL director, Area Manager of a Zone 1 London Underground station, and Strategic Engagement Manager.

The application process consists of 5 steps, including online assessments to be completed within an allocated time frame. Assessment centres for graduates and intern roles take place from December-January, with most roles having only one assessment day. Assessment centres are conducted in person and virtually (role dependent).
