Civil Engineering Summer Placement

• Completion of at least one year of study
• On track to receive a minimum of a 2:1 ICE-accredited BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or a closely related subject
• The future academic qualification must meet the requirements for CEng registration with the Institution of Civil Engineers
• Right to work in the UK for the duration of the scheme (this role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa scheme)

Participants will receive a combination of training, mentoring, and networking opportunities. They will also have one-to-one guidance from a senior engineer (mentor), a placement manager, a lead scheme sponsor, and a development adviser.

At the end of the placement, participants may have the opportunity to be considered for a graduate position through a fast-track process. The experience gained will support their ongoing career journey towards becoming a professionally qualified civil engineer.

• Applicants should pay close attention to emails and deadlines, noting there is one week to complete online assessments and these tests cannot be re-issued once the deadline passes.
• If qualification certificates are already held, copies should be uploaded to the application. If final exams are due or certificates need to be replaced, these must be provided at a later stage.
