Chimney sweeps clean the chimneys and flues of open fires and other coal, gas, oil and wood-fired heating systems.
You could find an experienced chimney sweep to take you on as an assistant and train on the job. As part of that training, you could complete a Level 2 Certificate in Chimney Sweeping or Level 2 Diploma in Chimney Engineering. Experience in construction or engineering may be helpful, although not essential to do these courses.

Toolmakers make the precision tools that are used in manufacturing to create products and parts.
Auto electricians fit and repair the electrics in motor vehicles.
Metrologists use very precise measurements in science and industry to make sure that processes and products meet high standards.
Aerospace engineering technicians design, build, test and repair civil and military aircraft.

Hours will vary when attending training or college).Programme Length: 12 Months End point assessment (3-6 months).Training provider details: Seetec Outsource Training and Skills.Qualification you will obtain: Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) and (CE ) license.Other immediate demands: You must hold a valid UK driving license and be at least 18 years of age to complete the apprenticeship programme.
Base Location: Beckton IG11 0ADYoull be working with experienced Project Managers to develop your understanding and application of the Thames Water five-stage process for planning and delivering projects on time and within budget. Youll maintain and monitor progress and performance and guide analysis to identify and proactively address issues and opportunities to do even better.As part of your apprenticeship programme, youll study the relevant project management degree through the University of Cumbria for 1 day a week to gain the theoretical background to your degree, this is delivered virtually with the occasional face-to-face delivery in Lancaster, Cumbria. We will support your attendance by paying for your accommodation and travel expenses per our travel guidelines and business expense policy.
