You could be promoted to supervisor or become an engineering workshop manager. You could also work in welding inspection and quality control. With further training, you may have opportunities to move into insulation work, or engineering design where you'll draw up pipework installation plans.
Chimney sweeps clean the chimneys and flues of open fires and other coal, gas, oil and wood-fired heating systems.
Signalling technicians maintain and repair rail telecommunications equipment and signalling systems.
Electronics engineers design and develop systems for industry, from mobile communications to manufacturing and aerospace.
Demolition operatives dismantle buildings and structures, remove hazardous waste and salvage reusable materials.
Vending machine operators fill, maintain and collect money from machines that dispense products like drinks and snacks.
Materials technicians test the behaviour of materials under different conditions to help develop new products and improve existing ones.

Your apprenticeship will last 36 months, and successful apprentices will achieve a Water Industry Treatment Process Technician, Level: 3 (wastewater pathway) standard, endorsed by the Institute for Apprenticeships.You will need to be mobile in this role, well contribute up to 500 towards driving lessons and tests to help to get you on the road!
