With experience, you could become a refrigeration engineer, designing cooling systems, or move into building services engineering or plumbing. You could also set up your own business.
Foundry moulders make moulds to shape molten metal into castings used to make parts for industry.
Technical surveyors carry out tasks to support chartered surveyors, architects and engineers.
Construction plant mechanics service and repair heavy plant machinery like diggers, dumper trucks and cranes.
Ceiling fixers fit suspended ceilings in buildings to cover pipework, wiring, and heating and air conditioning systems.
Shopfitters make and install fixtures and fittings in offices, restaurants, shops and bars.
Naval architects design, construct, refit and repair marine vessels and offshore structures.

Your apprenticeship will last 36 months, and successful apprentices will achieve a Water Industry Treatment Process Technician, Level: 3 (wastewater pathway) standard, endorsed by the Institute for Apprenticeships.You will need to be mobile in this role, well contribute up to 500 towards driving lessons and tests to help to get you on the road!
