Other career options include working as a consultant for science publishers or broadcasters. You may be able to apply for chartered environmentalist status.

A horticultural manager grows plants commercially for use in parks, gardens and public spaces.
Countryside officers manage, protect and improve the rural environment.
Laboratory technicians support scientists and help carry out tests, research and investigations.
Biotechnologists use plants, animals, microbes, biochemistry and genetics to develop new products and improve existing ones.
Meat hygiene inspectors make sure food processing plants and slaughterhouses follow safety and hygiene standards.
