Community education co-ordinators make sure education, training and recreation courses meet the needs of the local community.
You'll find it useful to have a foundation degree or degree in a subject like education, sociology, or youth and community development. You'll usually need 2 to 3 A-Levels, or equivalent.

Volunteering is a good way to build up contacts and can help you to get work in community education or development.
You can apply directly for jobs if you've got paid or voluntary experience of working in the community. For example, in adult education, teaching or youth work. Experience of working with disadvantaged or vulnerable groups will also be helpful.

British Sign Language (BSL) teachers teach sign language to children, young people and adults, and teach other subjects using sign language.

Special educational needs (SEN) teaching assistants support teachers to help children with special educational needs and disabilities.
Travel agency managers are responsible for the day-to-day running of travel agencies, meeting sales targets and promoting travel products.
Early years teachers are specialists in early childhood development and work with children up to the age of 5.
Leisure centre managers look after the day-to-day running of sports and leisure centres.
